It's easy to follow the path of tradition but in truth your ceremony can be as unique and joyful as you are.

Some couples choose a faith leader to guide your vows, others feel a celebrant like me, in a venue of your choosing better reflects your own story. Whether you're imagining something classical and elegant, or filled with playfulness and personality, I'll work closely with you listening, gathering stories shaping a ceremony that honours you both.

Together we'll weave memories, readings, music, vows and promises with  meaningful rituals into a moment in time that feels delightfully you.

Funerals and memorial services

Planning a funeral when grieving a loved one can feel overwhelming. My service is to craft a beautiful ceremony to honor and celebrate the life of your special person.

I believe every person is unique, defined by their personality, life journey and the lens though which they view the world.

Whether you'd prefer traditional, heartfelt or full of humour we can weave their life story with music, readings and tributes to make a ceremony that feels truly theirs.

I'll work closely with your chosen funeral director  within our shared values of respect, dedication and compassion.

Whilst I am not a faith leader I am happy to include a prayer or hymn, I also deliver a non religious ceremonies in accordance with your wishes.

I also offer separate memorial ceremonies to honor a loved one who, for example, chose a direct cremation without a funeral ceremony. This enables family and friends to say farewell in their own way at a time they are ready and at a venue of their choosing.

Traditionally people choose a faith based ceremony delivered in a place of worship, but If you are seeking a special moment that isn't based on faith and without religious elements I can deliver a meaningful ceremony that feels just as special and personal to you.

How it works - Weddings

I'll arrange to meet with you and your partner to hear your love story and to gather your hopes and wishes for your special day.

I'll advise on all the elements of your ceremony such as writing vows and promises, music and readings, special rituals and honoring your guests. We can introduce fun elements and even a few surprises.

I love to hear couples' own creative ideas. I'll then craft a bespoke ceremony that truly reflects who you are with warmth, humour and authenticity.

I can advise on the legal requirements of getting married too.

We can meet and chat as many times as you need before the big day. I'll gladly work alongside other professionals such as your venue, photographer, caterer or entertainer to make sure the day goes without a hitch.

And then on the day I'll be there to make sure you feel in safe hands, to steer your ceremony and to ensure you and your guests have have the best time celebrating your love to each other and your exciting next chapter.

How it works - Funerals

You have probably already chosen your local undertaker and began planning the funeral ceremony for your loved one.

I'll arrange to meet with you and any family members you'd like to include, so I can listen to your memories and wishes in more detail. I love to hear the life story of the person you are honouring, those special moments that marked their life, their work, hobbies and interests, what brought them joy and comfort, how they viewed the world and what made them unique. 

I can advise on music, poetry and readings. I can support those who would like to say their own words during the ceremony.

I'll keep in touch to ensure all the elements of the ceremony are in line with your wishes. I will work closely with the funeral director with our shared values of care, compassion and professionalism.

On the day I will welcome you and your guest and deliver the ceremony with care and warmth. I also gift  you a copy of my ceremony script as a keepsake, after all, the memories and stories told belong to you.
